Dressing up for the Hale Centre Theatre Thank You Party. Wow my hair grew fast.
Kaylee and Jackie have their first cheerleading performance - there's Macey Aldous too.
John and I take a short trip to Las Vegas and enjoy the Treasure Island buffet.
Kaylee turned 10 on Aug. 26 and so we had 8 screaming girls over for a water party. Happy b-day Kaylee!
The fam comes to see me in "Big - the musical" at Hale Centre Theatre. Her I am with my grandma in all my 80's glory.

My dad always says "Only special people are born in July." It must be true because my birthday is in July, both of my babies birthdays are in July and of course my dad's birthday is in July. Happy birthday dad on the 31st!

Where June 2008 Went

Kaylee had her very first piano recital. She is a musical genius. She did a beautiful job playing "The Rainbow Song." Yay Kaylee!
It just wouldn't be a normal post without a Sadie and Brinley picture.
We went out to dinner at Thaifoon with Mark and Joann Spencer and Spencer and Rachel Haymond. Then, the boys decided to walk through the Gateway fountain fully clothed on the coldest day of June. Nice.

We gave Brinley a bath in the kitchen sink - she thought it was pretty funny to splash water all over Daddy. Dad's having a hard time staying dry lately!!

What we've been up to

We love dressing Brinley in funny outfits.
We took Jonah and Brinley to see Thomas the Train in Midway.
We went to see Sadie in the Eagle Mountain cutest baby contest. She made the top 10!!!
We went to visit Grandpa on Memorial Day and took him some flowers.
The kids went swimming in our backyard even though our HOA has a pool three houses down.

Jonah's Joy

Okay, so 2 and 3 year olds playing soccer is the funniest thing I've ever seen in my whole life. They all run around the field in a big group - that is those who will go out on the field.
Jonah gets this look of sheer joy on his face whenever he plays any sort of sport. He has been waiting his whole life for this (:
This was his first time playing goalie. Doesn't he look fierce? It was funny when the other team got the ball down to the goal and Jonah politely moved out of the way so that they could kick it in (:

My First Race

Okay, so I just have to say that I completed my very first race last Saturday. It was a 5K and it was actually really fun when I wasn't in pain. I love how when you finish, there are people there handing you hot dogs. Like, I just ran off some calories and now I need to undo whatever good I just did 5 seconds after finishing the race. That and when you are already going to puke from running,what you really need someone shoving a hot dog in your face.
I have to say the very worst part was getting up at freakin' 5:00 AM so that I can hurry downtown to torture myself. In spite of all of this though, I can't wait for the next one!!
I finished in 30 minutes and some odd seconds and I'm pretty sure I can beat that next time because I had a huge side ache for most of the second and third mile.
My favorite part of the actual race was looking to my right and seeing some 6 year old kid beating me and then looking to my left and seeing some 90 year old man beating me and then looking ahead of me and seeing some freak dressed up like Spiderman beating me. Good times!!!!

Sadie Laree Jones

This is my beautiful niece Sadie with my favorite Jones sister-in-law Terrellee. Sadie turned one in January and she's just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. If you know my brother Jeremy, this is his daughter. She looks just like him except she's got her mommy's dimpled chin. Together they make one fine looking child!!

Murray Idol Begging

Please, please, please, please come to Murray Idol!!!! That's right folks, it's finally here. The moment you've all been waiting for!! Come see me Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30PM at Murray High School. Thursday I will be singing Pop and Broadway, Friday I will be singing country and director's choice and hopefully I'll make the top three so I can sing Saturday too. I really need everyone to come and cheer for me and vote for me. It's fun family entertainment and it's only $5 per night. That is cheaper than a movie. Please come one night or two nights or all nights!! Thanks everyone for your interest and funny comments. I'll take a picture of rehearsals tonight and post it tomorrow on my blog.

Easter fun

Here are a few pics from Easter. This is John's mom, Mary, holding Brinley. John's sister Krystal came down from New York. She has babies the same age as me. Jonah and Aimee are both two and a half and Brinley and Connor are both 8 months. We had some good timing there.

My baby girl Brinley is coming up on 8 months already!! She is the absolute sweetest baby ever. She smiles all the time and she's got dimples!! I always wanted a baby with dimples!!!

My Jonah bear is almost impossible to get a picture of because he never stops moving long enough!!! He loves playgrounds and slides and somehow managed to beat the odds and get some athletic ability genes which definately did not come from me.
